The Golden Hour...

Photographers often speak about "The golden hour". The first and last 30 minutes of sunlight in a day, Its a time when its all about the light...
I snuck out of work early today and as i was driving home, the light was getting better and better... So what to do? Do i stop the car on the highway and try and find a picture? Do i try and make it all the way to the beach? I got it. I make a call to old mate skate Rhys Coxon and the race was on to the park before we lost the light... Watch out scum bag mobile speed cameras it was on...
I was only shooting Rhys for 10minutes and here's what we got...

The gates of freedom.

Freedom plaza is the living breathing heart of Cabramatta. Its a place to meet friends. A place for old men talk about life for hours on end. A place for kids feed hot chips to the pigeons and then chase them from one end of the plaza to the other.
I've often heard people say "that Cabramatta is as close to being overseas as you can be, without actually leaving the country".
and i agree entirely... I love this place...

So where the bloody hell are you!

Emo Emu?

Q: Who's dark, depressed and emotional?
A: This Emo Emu.

Dromaius novaehollandiae. Australia's largest bird; flightless and fast running.
Breeds April to October so all you emo kids out there, watch out...
This photo was taken yesterday morning in Central Gardens, Merrylands west, Sydney. It's a free park with a Fauna Reserve. There's kangaroo as well, its worth a look if your in the area...

Summer on my mind...

Winter- Wake up, its cold and dark. Work all day, come home, its cold and dark.
I don't think I'm alone when i say I've got summer on my mind...
This photo was taken last summer in South East Queensland and pretty much screams out summer in Australia for me.
I hope this photo makes you feel a little warmer.

Stay warm
