Here's a sneek peek of some photos i took last weekend for Ryan from RB Shapes...
The boys are his team riders and they were all ripping it up... with the exception of Joey Sear who spent most of his morning on the beach grommet bashing...

The light was pretty bad this morning, it was hazey and patchy, so the photos got a working over in photoshop... Not always my thing but i think it works here...

Woonona Woo Hoo!!!

Before Ben Starr paddled out for his heat of Woonona Boardriders this morning , i jokingly said go right and throw us an air for the camera...
So whats Starry do, Well just look at the pics below... God i wish i could surf like that... Maybe i should spend more time surfing and less time behind the lens...

Sally Fitzgibbons and The Woo!

Sally Fitzgibbons is currently rated number 2 on the women's world tour and with two events remaining she's very much in the mix for a world title...
So it was good to see Sally going to town on the little lefts on offer at Woonona yesterday morning. Sally's off to Puerto Rico tomorrow, and then for the last event of the year at Sunset Beach, Hawaii at the end of November... Oh the life of a professional surfer

Board Jam This Sunday

Master craftsman Ryan Bridges is having the biggest baddest Board Jam yet... this Sunday at Wanda Beach, Cronulla...

So whats is the Board Jam you ask?

Lets just say its the surfers equivalent of being "THE STIG" from top gear... You get to thrashing the newest and you beautest surfboards this side of the moon! That means the whole world man!

A Sad Tale From The Sea...

Well what can you say, except it's pretty sad to see a creature so large and so beautiful, washed up on the rocks just down the road from your home... So it was pretty erie taking these pictures.
I can only hope he had a good life in his beloved sea... The same sea that give so mush to us...
Rest in peace old man of the sea...

Green and Blue!

There were green barrels, Blue Bombies and all kind of crazy waves to be had today... Luke Kearney and Scotty O'dell made the trip down from sydney and we had one of the best surfs together in a long time....
These photos were while we were checking spots, and gotta tell you, that were we ended up surfing was better!

The swell is expecting to peak at around 9 feet as I'm posting this, so where are you going to surf tomorrow? Hope you score!

I shouldn't even be taking about this place...

I had alot of good surf at this place, it one of those spots that the Sydney crew would never think to check on the way South...
I'm not going to tell you where it is. But that doesn't mean you should stop looking... This session, i surfed it with Dave and Dane... Dave was a willing participant for the portrait, but Dane in his words said" I'm no Internet Man!" But stay tuned, I'll get him sooner or later, Haaaa Haaaa Haaaaa (in a creepy Dracula voice).

The Rhythm...

I have'nt had much time in the water lately... winter, work, laziness. Excuses, excuses, blah blah blah...
I did however manage to get a quick one in before dark on Wednesday. I hadn't been watching the swell, tides, winds, banks, just rocked up at the beach expecting to paddled straight out, jag a few and all would be good...

Well Heuy, was going to have nothing to do with that...
I got slamed on the shorebreak, paddling out i got ten on the head... and pretty much did'nt get a good wave all session...
I felt like a complete kook, totally out of sync with of the rhythm of the ocean...
This was a bad day, but it reinforced the message that you got to put the time in to get the rewards...
And when you get connected... feel the rhythm... tap the source...
However you want to put it. There is no better thing than to be a surfer...

Summer on my mind...

Winter- Wake up, its cold and dark. Work all day, come home, its cold and dark.
I don't think I'm alone when i say I've got summer on my mind...
This photo was taken last summer in South East Queensland and pretty much screams out summer in Australia for me.
I hope this photo makes you feel a little warmer.
